IEP plans are highly effectively for people with disabilities throughout Primary Education and something similar to them should be used for Secondary Education, Getting Independence, and Employment.
Employers would benefit incredibly from the existence of a telephone hotline helping them learn everything about the process of hiring people with disabilities, to answer any questions they might have, help them communicate with all the right people, and plan any meetings with the right people. All the information for disabled families is difficult to find and should be made available in one place online. They should also always be able to have a social worker or representative available on the phone or to meet with them to help them understand the resources they do or don't have access to.
