Based on your input a report entitled Federal Partners in Transition National Online Dialogue: Participation Metrics was developed to summarize the dialogue’s results. Your thoughtful responses have added tremendous value and will help to frame our efforts to work together strategically to develop a plan to improve transition results for youth with disabilities by 2020.

Reasonable accommodation: Working from home.

People suffer from a multitude of disabilities which limit them in a variety of ways. Being able to work from home would make a simple one size fits accommodation for many health conditions. Dogs for depression/anxiety and PTSD.

I feel that people who suffer from depression/anxiety and/or PTSD should be able to bring a service dog to work in order to help ease symptoms and potentially improve work performance as well as quality of life.

I am Ada Juan Sheng, a woman with disability. I always want to work and I hope that my work is akin the work of person without disability . Unfortunately, at 04/11 / 2008, my employer terminated me. Navy Sea Cadet

My son was a graduate from the Navy Sea Cadet program from age 13 to 18. He enjoyed being part of a wonderful organization and even considered maybe having it as a career. What was dissappointing is when we contacted a local recruiter and he explained they do not offer accomadations for students with disablities for the entry test into the Navy.

Medicare and Medicaid for life

I think the best disincentive for working is the notion of needing to pay for their health services and yet make enough money to not be destitute. Modified Occupational Completion Points in Career Tech Schools

Modified Occupational Completion Points need to be promoted and established in a way that gets public vocational and technical schools paid, and more importantly, not penalized.
